Base Empreinte (formerly Base Carbone) is ADEME's public emission factor database, the French reference for calculating a carbon assessment.

What it contains

Thousands of documented emission factors (energy, transport, materials, food, purchases, etc.) with their sources and uncertainties. It is the foundation of the Bilan Carbone® and BEGES methods.

How to use it

Match each activity datum to the right factor in the database. The choice of factor is decisive for the accuracy of the result. UltraCarbon integrates these factors and automatically applies the right one, no expertise required.
